The company came up with a new generation of helmets for urban cyclists, based on a technology of pressured air and textile. Ultra protective and compact, the helmet can be deflated and stored away in a pocket when not in use. I joined the company as first product manager at its creation in 2020 to lead the development of both the helmet and the e-commerce website.
I worked as first Product Manager with a growing team of engineers, and as a product designer to deliver the first MVP and next iterations. I led the product strategy and built the roadmap: from product vision, to OKRs, to the product roadmap and user research. I was responsible for all of the marketing strategy to launch the product via an e-commerce website and press releases. I progressively built the product team, processes and tools with the CEO & the CTO.
I worked on this with external collaborators: a brand designer, a UI designer and developer. We coordinated the design and development of the e-commerce site with the goal of running a preorder campaign and to generate leads from ads. The site allowed customers to directly order from bumpair.co
This strategy put in place helped to generate 10k leads et sold 1k helmets. For the client, we managed to create a pool of 100 Beta testers, and we communicated 30 press releases The Bumpair helmet was recently awarded the 2022 French road safety innovation prize, in the two-wheel category.
